Pre-agreed DHS Variances for Montessori Programs in MN

Thanks to a deeply generative and valuable partnership with the MN Department of Human Services (DHS), the Minnesota Montessori Network (MNMN) is overjoyed to offer the MNMN Variance Pack (MVP). 

​These are five pre-agreed upon variances to support MN Montessori Schools being able to comply with the spirit of legislation and agency requirements, while scaffolding children's self-construction in alignment with Montessori's method.  These variances address Montessori:

• Toddler Soft Washable Toys
• Toddler & Primary Furniture and Materials Accessibility
• Primary Quantity of Cots
• Primary Group Size
• Primary Exceeding 36-month Span

DHS has trained it's licensors who are ready to receive the MVP variances from the MN Montessori schools they serve and support them through the pre-agreed process for review and approval.
