This worldwide celebration is turned up a notch in Minnesota. The Minnesota Montessori Network has made it easy for Minnesotans to celebrate, including securing the Governor of Minnesota's Proclamation that the last week in February is Montessori Education Week in Minnesota!

Celebrate in your own community!
Many school communities use this week to talk about our founder, Maria Montessori, children often identify and share information about their favorite materials, and some schools even celebrate with a community meal. (A great chance to practice grace and courtesy!) You can also create a social media campaign that asks members of your community to share why they love Montessori education. (See photos below).

Some Montessori advocates have set-up a display in their local library. Others have invited local representatives to visit their school communities for observations during Montessori Ed Week. Press releases to local media and newspapers have secured larger community news coverage.
