Collaboration Workspace

A TWIST on Collaboration! “Twist” is the name of our member-only private and secure online and app-based collaboration space with a special space just for school leaders and the ability for members to create their own special spaces for small group connection on topics of interest. The platform is open and flexible to be used as needs evolve.

Chatting as a group, direct messaging one another, keeping a ongoing searchable discussion, sharing documents/images/files in the stream of conversation or in response to a question. All searchable forever with granular notification controls.

For example….Public school elementary guides need to huddle about a Statewide requirement? Check. School leaders need to chat about a DHS change? Check. Guides need to collaborate on an easy/cheap school-wide Education Week activity? Check. Administrator needs referrals to services of an HVAC and Website contractor? Check. Board Chair needs to find a local non-school community member interested in serving? Check. Elementary Assistant needs to know if anyone has interest in a classroom snake that needs a new home or needs advice on keeping a recently-acquired snake? Check.

MN Montessori Resource Repository

Kick it into hyper-drive! A Minnesota-wide shared drive. This resource repository is for everyone to share, store, and retrieve content and stop recreating the wheel.

The repository have separate areas for school administration, classroom professionals, and families. Its open and flexible to be able to be used in whatever manner meets the needs of the members. You can make folder structure and upload anything we are willing to share. You can reference, download, edit, reuse anything of value.

Over time, we will have a master repository for our state with all the resources needed to start, operate, and expand a school. The load on school leaders and guides can drop substantially. New leaders and guides can be grounded in the basics instead of desperately hunting down what they need

For example….We don’t need to all write the same policies, parent communications, job descriptions. We can share our materials templates, parent education content, tracking documents, classroom procedures. We can even have a collective image repository of released images.

Member Connects! Virtual Meet-Ups

Let’s talk! Consistent voice-to-voice connection with facilitation. Weekly school leader connection conference calls. Monthly connection drop-in calls for guides and another one for families. The frequency and duration can change to meet the needs of the groups, but they will always be at consistent days and times on on one local number members can store in their phone.

For example….A school leader may want to bring in a topic about summer program structure and staffing. A guide may want to check their understanding of a material progression from children’s house to elementary. A parent may want to gain insight into how others are supporting their preschooler doing ________ “by themselves”.

MN Montessori Community Calendar

MN Montessori's Eventbrite! Finally, a single place to find all relevant events relating to Montessori in Minnesota on one easy-to-use calendar and pinboard.

You can even subscribe to the calendar and be notified when events are added!

Montessori-relevant events can find their audiences and Montessori-interested folks can find their events! Members and
Valued Partners can share their approved-events through a special Member-portal posting feature.

For Example....MNMN events, partner and community advocacy events, professional development opportunities, social gatherings, family education, open houses, interesting speakers, Montessori guide or alumni-featured events, member-created connection events, material-making circles, collaborative volunteering, Montessori-family playdates, and so much more!
